Ope! I guess I'm finally doing this! 1st Time Attendee Here

Hi everyone!

I’m so excited to be coming this year. It will be my first time attending this conference! I’ve so been busy working on a novel this month I almost forgot to introduce myself! 😆 I write fantasy with supernatural stuff like demons and spiritual warfare and where the magic system is based in arts and crafts. Think knitted mittens that always keep your hands warm no matter what temperature it is, bullet-proof crocheted baby blankets, and rings or tattoos that act as communication or tracking devices. The hope is to publish my first novel either this year or the beginning of next year. I’m hoping to learn a lot of new things about marketing that I can use in this next year.

I’m coming from the land of Minnesota. Where tomorrow will be a high of -9 and a low of -22. But it doesn’t really matter until you take into account the -45 wind chill. For those of you who have never experienced balmy weather such as this, it simply means that it’s going to be so cold that your own snot is going to freeze inside of your nose and attempt to suffocate you. We’re also under an exploding tree warning. So, if you hear something at about 3am that sounds like a gunshot, it’s not. It’s just a tree giving up the way the rest of us kind of want to.

So, I am super excited to be coming south for a few days to Austin! Where, I have been told, the temperatures are far above zero, chances of snot suffocation are much lower, and the trees aren’t exploding. 😁

Super excited to meet all of you! I’m getting in Thursday morning around 10:20am. Is there anyone else getting in around that time who would want to ride share with me? Also, I can wait around if need be. I do have a novel I can be working on while I wait. That’s not a problem.
