Announcing: Historical Fact Checker
The Historical Fact Checker is a built-in historian designed to catch anachronisms before readers do. Set your time period, location, and genre, attach your manuscript, and get a precise review focused purely on historical and cultural accuracy, not grammar or pacing.
You will receive a numbered report grouped by category such as Technology, Language, Events, Customs, Clothing, Weapons, Food, Transportation, Architecture, and Social Attitudes.
For each flagged item, the tool quotes or paraphrases the exact passage, explains why it may be inaccurate, and suggests a historically plausible fix. It also calls out incorrect dates, misrepresented events or people, and modern slang that does not fit. When something is “unlikely but possible,” it tells you that as well.
Use it to protect immersion, avoid credibility-killing reviews, and speed up revisions. The analysis is objective and based on verifiable history, and it even handles alternate history or fantasy by noting intentional deviations while still flagging real-world issues for reference.
