Another more Biblical thought on AI
Just for fun, I asked Chat-GPT to give me a three point sermon with scriptural backup references on a particularly controversial topic. What it gave back was astounding in clarity and depth - A lesson that I could have stood up and taught with a straight face.
I was subsequently asked if I was sure Chat_GPT was not lying. I am a Bible teacher and have been for years, so I know this topic and the verses associated with it and it was pretty amazing what I got, not that I necessarily agreed with every detail, but the content was “well researched” from a historical, biblical viewpoint.
A few weeks ago, our pastor delivered a horribly shambled lesson. I know him well and I asked what happened. Well, the person who was supposed to speak that day called 20 minutes before the service and bowed out. Chat_GPT might have been a life saver for him.
It seems that this is just one step beyond BlueLetterBible and Bible Gateway. Try it yourself!
