Author Bullies

This is just a rant because it’s been bothering me. I am a member of a fb author group for certain book events. The lady who hosts the book events put together a banner generated with AI to promote her next upcoming event. The backlash in that group was ridiculous. Authors were mortified and angry that they were somehow being misrepresented of using AI because of her promotional AI banner. They belittled her for not using her own banner and threatened to ghost the event. I felt so bad for the host! The next day the event host apologized and said she would not use anymore AI for the marketing materials for her event. I don’t understand what the uproar is in using AI to help with marketing. Also I saw the same marketing AI issue posted for different author event.
