Barnes and Noble Ok with Selling AI Book and It Makes Sense?
I read an article today about the CEO of Barnes & Noble saying that he's happy to sell AI books in the future and before you grab your pitchforks, here's the article:

His perspective is that as long as there is transparency about who/what wrote the book and there are people willing to buy it, he's happy to stock it.
Regardless of how you feel about the machines taking the soul out of art etc, I thought this made sense from a business perspective. It's a compromise where you make a profit on the demand, but you're clear about the origins of the book so that people can decide for themselves whether they want to partake or not.
The flaw being that it requires the person producing the book to be upfront about how they did it. It's so interesting watching how the world is navigating all of these changes and new questions.
An interesting quote from the article: "‘During a December appearance on BBC's Big Boss Interview podcast, he said: “If people want to read that book, AI-generated or not, we will be selling it - as long as it doesn't pretend to [be] something that it isn't. We as booksellers would certainly naturally and instinctively disdain it.” ‘
