Creating an AI Assistant

TLDR: Do you have proven tips to help me create a write-to-market AI Assistant?

The past 1.5 years I have spent working on craft and building a writing habit (over 100k words in 2025 alone).

I actually want to make money writing fiction, which means: writing to market.

With that being said, I am planning to write sci-fi novels. That means understanding the implications of near-future technology and especially the danger of it.

Thinking through an AI Assistant, I would want it to ideally:

  • Find and summarize current scientific discoveries and discourse around it.

  • Put together a primer for non-scientific me on the subject.

  • Gather novels already written on the particular phenomenon.

  • Summarize reader thoughts on those books (what they loved and hated).

  • Prepare a small handful of story ideas I may want to explore (based on some criteria that I define like worldview, character focus, level of action, mystery, etc).

  • Prepare a reading and review plan so I can read the books, then create Goodreads, blog, YouTube/Podcast, and Twitter/Substack post content.

  • Prepare an initial script that I can use for the book reviews.

  • Find the agent/contact for the authors of the books I found so I can then invite them onto my podcast.

  • Put together untapped questions or at least a brief on interviews the author has done in the past.

Anyway, maybe @Thomas Umstattd Jr. has given a talk on this somewhere already?

Thanks! 😁
