Em dash?

Hi! I am currently in the final stretch of publishing my first book. I have been writing this book for the last 5 years or so. It has been through a Developmental editor, beta readers, and I recently got it back from a copy editor. All humans. During the most recent edit, my copy editor added em dashes where they fit according to grammar, but I had out commas. Should I be concerned by this? Will it make my book look like AI? Or is using the em dash as an indicator of AI just laziness as I have seen several articles suggest?
