Grok Bot Shelf Organizer

My father is trying to figure out what to do with my mother's old books. (She lives with us now, and he's still back on the East Coast slowly getting the house ready to be sold. They are both in their 80s.) The books are hopelessly disorganized.

I already convinced him to get his own Grok Bot fleet and wrote him a small fleet of seven bots (including chief of staff) designed around assisting an elderly individual and maintaining his independence. He's slowly getting used to how much it can help him. But he didn't realize that it can organize things from photos and identify the books on the shelves, as long as the spines are visible.

I told him to send me some photos. He sent three as a test. I spun up a bot designed to take photos like these and figure out a plan for them. And being me, it's also designed to amuse a nerd.

Designing the bot took far longer than uploading the photos and having a categorized list emailed back to my father. The design took about half an hour. Going from images to a sent email attachment took less than five minutes.

@Thomas Umstattd Jr. — a Bookshelf Quill is probably a useful idea to put on the list. 🙂
