Many Shades in AI

I have messed with Chat_GPT and am quite impressed, although I prefer my own imagination when writing my books. it’s just so much more ME!

But there are many amazing things that could be good about AI. I called a credit card company the other day, and the person assigned to help me was clearly AI, and it was an amazing experience. I had an actual conversation where the end result was very satisfying - cancelling the card!

So here is the question: If I use Chat_GPT to copy edit my own writing - like “review the following text for word usage, punctuation and spelling” - (my text) is there something so wrong with that (except putting editors out of business) and how is that different than the spell checkers and grammar advisors in Word and Google docs or even in this authormedia.social chat forum?

This line between when it is good, Okay, or bad is going to be a tough one to figure and I am not sure the people in our congress are even capable of figuring it out.
