Pros and cons of Amazon virtual voice

If you’ve used Amazon virtual voice, what are the pros and cons you’ve noticed? I’m assuming I could take it down and switch it out for a human voice later on down the line?

For my full-length novel, I’m hoping to hire a human narrator. However, I make few enough sales on my novellas that it wouldn’t be worth it to hire someone to turn them into audiobooks. I could throw it on virtual voice though, just to see what would happen.

Honestly, my main hold-up is not wanting to alienate my audience, though it’s really hard to know how many people just say they don’t like AI vs. how many would actually leave over it. Any thoughts or input?
