Thoughts on Krea Character Engine (or alternatives)

ChatGPT recommended Krea for a children’s Christmas story book idea I have. Has anyone here used it? are there better alternatives? I’m concerned with consistency across the book, especially characters and key objects / locations.

If you have experience with Krea, what does it get me? Simply better images? Images I couldn’t get other ways? Easier process?
