Timeline Chronicler 2.0

I’ve made some improvements to the Timeline Chronicler. This is now a tool for all novelists, not just those who write epics.

It now knows what to do when characters lie. So if the butler says he wasn’t in the mansion on the night of the murder, but the cook says he was, the timeline chronicler can handle those differing accounts while still being able to catch mistakes you might have made in your timeline.

Timeline Chronicler also captures your story's full history, not just the events on the page.

  • If a king tells a tale of an ancient war, that war lands on the timeline.

  • If a grandmother mentions her childhood, those events go where they belong in history.

The new version maps every event in your story world, including the ones characters only reference in passing.

The conflict detection is sharper too. The tool now flags:

  • travel-time impossibilities

  • characters appearing in two places at once

  • contradictory accounts between witnesses

  • age math errors

  • seasonal mismatches

  • duration problems

  • unexplained gaps.

Every issue comes with suggested fixes you can drop in with one line of dialogue or a chapter heading.

A few other improvements:

  • The book title now leads the output (so you stop confusing yourself between timelines)

  • Events group by time period for stories with deep history

  • Narrative reliability tags distinguish what the narrator shows from what characters claim

  • Cleaner output structure with sharper headings

Working on a series? Drafting a mystery with a tricky alibi? Writing fantasy with centuries of backstory? Run your manuscript through the Timeline Chronicler and see what shows up.
