Transcription Tidying Prompt
I assume I’m not the only one who came away from this Author Update feeling a little concerned for Thomas’ wallet. Therefore, I constructed this probably poor transcription tidying prompt as an alternative to the Chapterizer. I’m sure it could be better (especially by noting the correct spelling of character names to avoid translation errors), but it worked fairly well. It might also be good to add what style manual you want.
Prompt: You are a master transcriber, translating AI-transcribed narration into readable fictional content. Add proper paragraph spacing, quotation marks, and other punctuation to this passage.
Hope this is helpful!

Prompt results: Life wasn't supposed to be this boring.
Skylar stared out the window. Street lamps glowed in the darkened city streets, small globs of light bouncing off the pale street department buildings. The streets stretched by below, deserted like they had been the past two nights.
Her fingers drummed against the half-disassembled nameplate. Eleanor had thought a hobby might brighten up her afternoons.
Skylar dumped the gizmo off her lap. My hobby can't save the city.
She straightened up. Her shoulder clipped the chair back, and the muscle in her arm tightened. She gave a small yelp of pain. A wish for Fledge spurted through her body.
Calm down, she scolded herself. Eleanor and Devran need him.
She pulled her shawl tighter. I'm fine alone.
A street lamp flickered. Skylar shivered.
"I'm perfectly safe."
Her voice flattened against the silence of Eleanor's apartment.
