Jorge Gutierrez is the creator of El Tigre, Book of Life, Maya and the Three, and others. He recently announced he was working with Amazon on an AI driven project.

His family started getting death threats, ultimately driving him to quit the project.

I didn’t work directly with Jorge, but we were at Nickelodeon at the same time. He was always super friendly, and even joined in a couple of our Hacky Sack sessions.
