How to Avoid the YT Commercials

YouTube has recently (at least for me) started interrupting the Author Update live show with commercials. You can avoid this BUT there is a cost.

If you copy and paste the Author Update link (or any YouTube link) into the Brave browser, you can watch the live stream without commercial interruptions. I watch almost all YouTube videos this way and never have to deal with annoying commercials.

The cost - You will NOT have access to the live stream chat (at least as far as I have found) during the show. You cannot see or post to it.

So if you aren’t concerned with the live chat feature, you may be interested in using the Brave browser to watch YT live streams in the future.

For those that don’t know: The Brave browser is like any other internet browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Chrome, etc.), but the privacy policies are a bit stricter and it automatically blocks ads. I have used it for years on my phone and desktops.
