2023 best historical fiction, Ancient World

I’ve been “under the weather” for the past three weeks, and thought I had posted this, but apparently not. New Year’s Eve I was informed by the Historical Fiction Company (a significant historical fiction influencer group) that my debut novel The Stone Cutter received their Gold Award as the 2023 best book, in the category of Ancient World.

As a new author it is tempting to get puffed up over such a thing, but I hope that the new recognition will get this story into the hands of other readers who might not otherwise know about it. When I started writing fiction seriously a few years ago, I never guessed such a thing could happen.
