New Podcast: Read Clean YA with CJ

Several months ago, after Thomas and I recorded the interview I did with him for the Novel Marketing Podcast, we got to talking, and he suggested I start a podcast. Now, this is something I’d been thinking and praying about doing for a while (it started when I listened to the Novel Marketing episode How to Start an Author Podcast), but I couldn’t quite figure out what I wanted to do for it.

He and I brainstormed a few possibilities, and I decided to actually start taking steps toward launching a podcast. Fast-forward several months, and here we are!

At the beginning of September, I officially launched my new podcast, Read Clean YA with CJ: the podcast for teen and young adult readers who want to explore exciting worlds, deep themes, and epic stories -- without the objectionable content. 

It has been a blast interviewing authors, discussing deep themes in their books, and sharing great clean young adult stories with my readers. Right now, I’m highlighting stories that are life-and-death stakes and fit into the thriller, sci-fi, action-adventure, or fantasy categories. I’ve heard great things from readers and listeners, and I can’t wait to see where this podcast goes next.

A quick encouragement

Thomas provides fantastic resources. It can be easy to listen to his podcast and continually take in the information, but never actually apply it. I highly encourage you to find ways to take action steps after you listen to an episode that resonates with where you’re at and your publishing goals. Each of those steps adds up, even if it just feels like a baby step right now.
