Preorder Achieved! No Refuge for the Lightning Touched

I am so excited to announce that I have officially reached a new milestone! My debut science-fiction novel No Refuge for the Lightning Touched is available for preorder.

I am pretty methodical, so even with all the warnings, I was sure I had launching this book handled. Then I got to the admin side of publishing, and suddenly all these little tasks materialized from nowhere! Needless to say, @Thomas Umstattd Jr. was right. I took his longstanding advice and pushed my publication date to January to make sure I had time to do it properly!

The book is sci-fi space opera adventure with a cyberpunk twist. It follows Gillian, a woman trying to stay off the radar of the corporation who augmented her against her will. However, a chance encounter with a runaway heiress places her squarely back in their sights. Surviving and escaping a second time means accepting help from a former elite soldier - and doing the one thing Gillian is most afraid to do.

Trust

It’s a character-driven space opera with corporate intrigue, advanced technology, found family, and a strong emphasis on trust, loyalty, and the choices people make under pressure.

If that piques your interest, I am recruiting a small launch team to help me send the book out into this world. Launch team members get behind-the-scenes intel, early reveals, and optional launch missions, and a few exclusive perks as we countdown to January 23, 2027.

Celebrate with me by becoming part of the crew: 🚀www.catereine.com/launch/

And for everyone else here working toward your own launch: you got this! And it really is worth the wait.
