UPDATE: It's the third week in top spot. Trunk of Scrolls Still in #1 spot, plus #3 spot!

In using all the techniques I’ve learned on Author Media for covers, book metadata, blurb and description, etc, I had a very beautiful launch of Trunk of Scrolls: Paths of Faith and Fire. We had a very enjoyable virtual launch party on Saturday—very fun, with an ancient-scroll-mystery theme. Not very crowded, but a good group of engaged Superfans.

I couldn’t get people onto my launch team—seems like my personal emails are not getting through for some reason, so that was disappointing. But individuals on my newsletter list and Facebook/Instagram were very supportive and helpful in spreading the word.

I’m in Kindle Unlimited, which I discovered is a very effective way to get attention and to rank. It’s also very rewarding to see people are reading your book, almost in real time. My categories are accurate, and this made a big difference. Today I ranked in a very large category (YA Survival Fiction) just under Hunger Games’ newest release. I’m running Facebook ads and one Amazon ad, which shows in sales.

I have had no luck getting onto podcasts, though I sent out dozens of emails. I’ll keep trying. (PS-if you know of a podcast you’d recommend or you’re connected with, let me know).

This is after a Kickstarter. I’ve created some A+ content because the insides of the book are very unique (maps, charts, diagrams, illustrations), and I’m waiting for that to be approved. I think that will help, too.

March we are starting the Audiobook project. I have a very talented narrator lined up.
