Shared reader magnet promotion for Picture Book Authors

I had an idea today that I thought I'd share, and see whether any of you are interested in joining me in creating!

I thought it might be fun, as the chilly winter months are settling in, for parents and children to discover new authors through coloring books. A single coloring page seems like a really lame reader magnet, but I had an idea to share a pdf collection of coloring pages, simply for free, without collecting email addresses first. If a bunch of us each contribute several pages, all geared for 4-8 year olds, we could create a valuable printable resource for families.

Our coloring pictures could act as teasers for our reader magnet stories, featuring the same worlds or characters, and maybe including a quote from the story. Then we could have a qr code for our reader magnet, either on one of our pages, or all the qr codes on a separate page at the back, where parents can scan to sign up for email newsletters and download the actual stories of their choice.

Also, does anyone know which program would be ideal for actually putting the document together?! 😄

Then we could cross- promote the coloring book as a total freebie, sharing with our email newsletters, pinning, and posting to our blogs! Using this strategy, parents will hopefully like that they get something valuable without signing up for a dozen newsletters, but qr might each get a few leads. It would also help with our what- to - blog/email- about problem!ould Story Origin or Bookfunnel be an appropriate place for something like this?
