5YP Y1M6 Short Story

Alrighty folks, Jim asked me to share another short story for Month 6 in the 5YP. I just received feedback from my Timothy on it—he said it was better paced than my earlier works and my best short story yet! Would love to get your thoughts on it as well.

Genre - Speculative Fiction

Pitch - Professor Tobias Ames found it: an infinite hall, lined with every book mankind will ever write. Within its walls, hunger is only for learning and the temptation to stay is endless.

But when a letter arrives from beyond the hall, Tobias is forced to reckon with what his studies have replaced and what no amount of knowledge can restore.

It has 1,745 words—roughly a 10-12 minute read. Here's the link:

Feedback questions:

1. What confused you?

2. What bored you?

3. What pulled you out of the story?

4. What'd you like?

Thank you in advance for taking the time!
