Blurb Critique

I am working on the blurb for my next novel (epic Christian fantasy with a strong romantic subplot), and wanted some feedback—it’s not coming out till spring, but I’d like to get the blurb up on my website. (I’ve been through a few drafts already, and my sense is that this is headed the right direction but definitely needs refining. My alpha reader agrees, but I wanted to get some feedback from other authors.)

The Age of Silence is ending. The Age of Heroes is returning. The Age of Prophets is coming….

The voice of the Eternal has been silent for three hundred years. The last of the heroes are dead and all but forgotten, and a half-mad seer is all that’s left of the prophets of old. The shadow of Ravenwood rises in the south, and the mysterious Tower of Tor Grabis is rumored to hold secrets even darker.

When a seer offers a prophecy to Captain Tieran Lillendran and magic student Astoria Lillendra, it seems like the Age of Heroes might rise again. As Tieran and Astoria set out on a journey to restore peace to Karlis, Tieran’s secret allegiance to Ravenwood clashes with Astoria’s loyalty to Tor Grabis.

When secrets are revealed and prophecies are made, both are forced into an impossible choice between old loyalties and new heroism. But is it possible for the united strength of the city-states to stand against the Raven King? Or, in the end, will darkness fall over Karlis?
