Can you share a quick first impression on a reader magnet short story idea?

I am working [again] on launching my website to start building an email list. I have been working on a short story in the world my novels are in for a reader magnet, but it quickly grew into a novella. I’ve done a couple of self-editing passes and what it really wants to be is a novel. So I decided to let it become that (eventually) but now need a new idea for a short-story, this time it must be a short story :-)

I would appreciate any quick reaction to this idea if you can spare a couple of minutes.
