Finished my first short story: Isamu & the Spirit Cat (2,810 words)

Summary: Isamu, a samurai turned ronin, has taken to bounty hunting as a way to live and keep his magical prosthetics functioning. Things take a turn for the worst when his latest mission has him ambush a corporate escort for a mysterious box, whose contents may either save him or kill him.

This transformed pretty dramatically from the original idea. I got interested in the concept and decided to try writing out a short story to see how much I enjoyed the setting and the character.

I learned a ton working on this piece. I thought I’d share here in case anyone was interested in reading and providing feedback.
