My Biggest Flaw with Writing

The Second Story is a great channel. This episode in particular crystalizes my biggest problem as a writer. Don’t edit while you’re writing the first draft. I am a repeat offender and the poster boy for this. Her comparison with the Orpheus myth (about minute 11) clarifies the problem better than anything I’ve ever heard or read. If you edit while still writing the first draft, you will be stuck in writer’s hell indefinitely. I’ve gone through this with a few projects.

Does anyone else struggle with this editing flaw as much as I do?
