Pronouns for Nonfiction

I’m now editing the chapters of my first draft. (I’ll get an editor someone else to do this later.) I have sentences that start something like, “we will look at.“ I am wondering if I should avoid this “royal we” and use ‘I’ instead. Any thoughts? It doesn’t bother me in books, but it might bother my potential readers.
