Titling Feedback?

I'm working on book 3 of my Enchanted Castle Archives series, trying to trim down the 1st draft of 156K -- it wasn't gelling until I got to around 80K. The problem is that as I'm revising, I'm adding almost as much new material as I've deleted .... and I'm thinking this book needs to be done as 2.

Would it be confusing to read these titles?

Captive Shadow: Disenchanting the Prince, Book 1

The Enchanted Castle Archives, Book 3

and then

Unmasked: Disenchanting the Prince, Book 2

The Enchanted Castle Archives, Book 4

Part of my problem is that I’ve been talking about the title, The Disenchanted Prince, and then changing it to Disenchanting the Prince, in my blog and podcast and author notes in another book, so I don’t want that promised title to vanish — don’t want to frustrate readers who are already suffering from George Martin Syndrome — unfinished fantasy series.

SHOULD I hang onto that title, creating a sub-series within the larger series of the Enchanted Castle Archives? This puppy is getting big now, with a middle-grade tie-in I just released……. But I want people to know where each book stands, chronologically, in the series, so they don’t pick up one book, then when they read another, they realize they’ve jumped back earlier or skipped a title. Y’know?
