Writing a book by hand?

Has anyone here written a full first draft by hand? I’ve been playing around with the idea recently to force myself to slow down and work on the prose/flow/sound of my sentences. I’ve written short stories this way but never a full first draft of a novel. Would love to hear about anyone’s experience doing it!
