Hi Darlene,

I hope you’re well. I wanted to reach out to say how much I enjoyed Trunk of Scrolls: Paths of Faith and Fire. Your ability to weave historical events, suspense, and rich character development into a narrative that feels both epic and intimate is remarkable. The journey of Marcellus and Byziana, navigating faith, peril, and hidden conspiracies, stayed with me long after I finished reading.

I’m a writer as well, working primarily in historical mystery and character-driven fiction. If you’re ever curious, my work is here:

One recent book: A Case of Mice and Murder

No expectations at all—just sharing, writer to writer.

Mostly, I wanted to say hello and acknowledge the ambition and depth of your storytelling.

Warm regards,
Sally Smith

The name she shares is a barrister-author of a well-loved book. But she has no website of her own. Only Bloomsbury.com, her publisher.

I would think a fellow author would write a review and then share the review with you when making contact.
