Any recommendations for LitRPG suitable for middle school students?

A family friend’s son isn’t too interested in reading but I know he loves tech and gaming, and was wondering if anyone had recommendations for LitRPG books he might read? I know his parents want to be careful of what kind of content he consumes, so any advice on that would be helpful as well.
