Anyone Use BookBub as a website host?

I asked about website last month and was going to leave it alone until next year, Then I got my GoDaddy bill - which is due to be paid Nov 11.

The bill is $275 which includes site hosting and the Microsoft 365 Outlook email service. I can basically send as many emails as I want per month. I do have a newsletter, so that’s helpful. Also, my site with GoDaddy is impressive.

However, that bill! My domains cost another $100 per year (I own 5).

I asked Chat GPT with as much detail as I could think of, and it recommended BookBub Author Websites to host. There is a free version, which is eh but passable I guess. Or the first year of the paid version is about $60, which will jump to $100 in year two.

The BookBub Author Websites are decent (not beautiful but OK), though the home page feels cluttered. I think I can adjust that though. And creating the content was a breeze, especially compared to GoDaddy!

All tiers of BB include SENDING emails, but not a full response email service. I have readers that email back and forth with me on a regular basis, so I need that component. I found out I can keep my outlook email, which is info at (mydomain) dot com, but that pricetag is $108.

So my dilemma is, do I just keep GoDaddy and Outlook for $275 and suck it up because the email is great and the site is very pretty? Or is there a better/decent option for around $100-$150 total (site hosting and full email service)?

If you have a website you’re proud of, can it be posted here so I can see, or is that a no no?

Thank you for any feedback!
