Apple wants me to hate them
Not sure where to post this, but Apple seems very… particular about who they will help and how, so here I am asking. I bought a MacBook last year and haven’t used it much. Went to sign in last week and my password wouldn’t work. Kept trying, only got a longer wait time before I could sign in. It was confusing even to set up, because your Apple password is your password, but it’s also not, which is weird. Anyway, the “reset password” option took me in a loop and online support is, as I said, very clique-ish. I mean, I have the password, I have the email, I have the phone number. Infinite loop. Anyone had unexplainable trouble with their Apple account like this? Currently, I’m waiting for the Apple support gods to send me an email tomorrow letting me know IF they’ll let me sign in. So that’s cool.
I really don’t like how many locks tech companies are putting on their own products that they sell you. It’s theirs, not yours, y’know?
I don’t see good things for my relationship with Apple at this rate.
