Best $10 I have spent in... forever?
I just became a patron because I wanted to try some of the AI tools. I had been hesitant and a little skeptical, but a few friends had encouraged me to use AI as a 1) a creativity tool and 2) a marketing tool. So, I dropped my $10 and told myself this was only setting me back 1.5 fancy coffee drinks.
I tried the book cover feedback tool, the blurb tool, and the discussion generator tool.
I was blown away.
I felt like my book cover was close, but something was just “off.” The AI tool gave me actionable feedback that made sense - feedback I could take directly to my designer to take the cover to the next level.
The blurb generator gave me several lines I will use on my back-of-the-book blurb - and my blurb was pretty good! But I am going to edit and take several direct quotes and ideas from the blurb generator. It also gave me great ideas for my Amazon page.
The discussion question generator captured the essence of the book and created a great discussion guide. I am a therapist and a former pastor - questions and discussions have been my bread and butter! This tool gave me a guide in 5 minutes that would have taken me an hour to generate.
Now, you still need to check the output of these tools. The book cover feedback tool said I had a comma after the author’s name (there was no comma). The discussion question tool’s output needs some edits and tweaks. So do your homework, stay sharp, and don’t turn off your brain - but, if you have $10 to spare, check out the patron tool box. It’s like having a small team of smart rockstar interns at your disposal… interns with master's degrees that never sleep, don’t need coffee, and never get poached by Wall Street, big tech, or New York publishing houses.
