Book vault - hardbacks and blocked credit cards

Have any of you used Bookvault for a simple hardback? How did it compare to a KDP book and how did you pay for it?

The final book in my epic fantasy series is over the KDP hardback page limit. I was planning to try Bookvault since the hardback I did with IngramSpark some years ago had cover issues-the designer followed their template but it always printed off and I had to tell the designer to ignore the template and shift things to get it to work.

So I was going to try out Bookvault … but my credit union has a block on UK transactions. I, being in the US, cannot use Bookvault or join ALLi (to get a Bookvault promo code for free set up). Period.

If you have used Bookvault lately, which bank do you use?

Mine has gotten far too fraud sensitive and has blocked more transactions than they’ve allowed for the business account I set up and, despite me doing the paperwork for travel for two different cards, they blocked me using the cards on a recent trip to Italy. It is a wee bit stressful to be overseas and unable to use your cards and only having 100 euros because you were told not to bring much cash (thank goodness for generous friends and international data to finally get another card working.)
