Buying Contract from Publisher - Anyone Make The Switch?

Has anyone else made the switch from a publisher (small one in my case) to indie?

Any advice on what I should have ready to go before the switch happens? Bookvault? LLC? etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated - this is exciting but scary territory for me.

Edited to Add: Well, I’ve been abruptly cut off by the publisher, my ebook has disappeared, and I’ve had to figure things out on my own really fast :) Good thing I’ve got the Lord as my rock and won’t worry <3

But still any advice of surprises along the way if you have been through this would be greatly appreciated. I am waiting for my books to be reviewed by Amazon.
