Children's Audiobook

I have a stretch goal for an audiobook in the Kickstarter campaign for my children’s picture book How to Pet a Porcupine.

It might seem unconventional to make an audiobook for a children’s picture book, but as a child I loved getting books from the library that had the audio cd with them. I've also surveyed my backers and there's significant interest in an audiobook.

Anyway, I'm wondering if any of you have made an audiobook for a picture book. Any tips or suggestions on how to go about it and what it should include? Dramatization, sound effects, etc?

I'd also appreciate suggestions on where to find someone to make it. I know I could check on sites like Fivrr. If you do audiobook narration or drama, and are interested in a project like this, let me know.

A friend of mine referred me to someone who makes audio dramas and he gave me an estimate of $300, but I'd like to see what other options there are and get other estimates.
