Comprehensive website with book statistics?

Hey everybody.

I was wondering if anybody knows of a website (or service or something) that has graphs, lists, numbers, charts, etc. with comprehensive information about trends in genres in fiction. For example, something that shows a bar graph of what’s selling the most of and what isn’t selling much at all. Or—what would really be cool—something that has a demographic of the statistics on a yearly or monthly basis of trends from years and years before, so that we can kind of see the yearly trends. I feel like that way authors can kind of plan ahead—like if they know that their genre is likely to go out of “style” soon, they can rack up those sales ahead of time and, y’know, not be taken completely by surprise when their sales go down. I feel like a service like this would really be helpful in giving authors some peace of mind in knowing what’s trending or going on at the moment.

So, if anybody knows of something like this, that displays the demographics of what’s selling, where it’s selling, and what genres are trending (preferably spanning several book-selling platforms, maybe even bookstores?!), and is slightly more reliable-looking than social media trends, please let me know!

Otherwise I may get exasperated and try and build one myself.

Thanks in advance! 😊
