Computer Set up Suggestions wanted

I’ve been working on an iPad for about 2 years now, after my MacBook finally died and i’m getting to the point where I’m actually wanting computer systems (ie: laptop or desktop) and a big desktop type screen. I’m debating getting a more desktop computer system in general. I am in the Apple ecosystem and I kind of want to stay there (even as I look at their prices and cry a bit). I’ve side eyed their desktop set ups (IMac and Mac Studio). This will be a writing and business for writing computer only so I don’t need anything crazy fancy but something that will hopefully last me a few years at least.

I may get into some podcasting and maybe audio booking but thats a ways in the future yet just as an FYI

Should I get:

1.) The desktop Mac Studio and invest in a good screen and keyboard (recommendations welcome for screen and mechanical keyboards!)

2.) A MacBook and just get a desktop screen and keyboard/mouse?

3.) Something else i haven’t considered.

Your help is greatly appreciated. I am not much of a tech person other than i like to use it to watch videos, research and write with the occasional game usage!
