Domain Name Issues

The domain name I want to get costs $3,000 (seriously, I couldn’t believe it) and when I look up my own name it’s already taken. Both of those names have the .com at the end. Namecheap gives me recommendations for other endings like .org or .net. But I’m not sure if that will make me look less professional. Any thoughts or ideas on this issue?
