Fourth Turning and Tribes by Seth Godin

I just finished reading Tribes and it struck me as very much a third turning book. Granted, some of it remains applicable. Such as the ability to find a tribe, and concepts of leadership.

But the concept of everyone wanting the shiny and new thing? I’m mulling it over and feel it’s less applicable now. The traditional is becoming the new ‘new.’ It may be less important to come up with a new way to do something (though that can be good too) and more important to focus on the finding and connecting a tribe.

Thoughts?
