Has anybody had any luck with Writingway?

Before I came to Author Media, I heard about Writingway, which basically is an open source attempt to do a lot of what Thomas’s tools do but as a local install. I never could get it to work, although I think it’s because I installed the wrong version of python (they missed that bit in the install instructions). Then I found Thomas and after much inner debate, he announced Notadeveditor and pushed me over the edge to become a patron. I figured the low cost was worth it to avoid the installation hassle.

I was just wondering, has anybody else had any experience with this?
