Hi, I'm Drew Taylor!

Hi y’all! I don’t think I’ve properly introduced myself yet, so I wanted to go ahead and do that even though I’m a bit late to the game.

My name is Drew Taylor, and I’m an independently published Christian Chick-Lit Romance author. I chose Chick-Lit as my genre because my books tend to genre-bend between contemporary romance, women’s fiction, comedy, magical realism, and suspense. The term “chick-lit” does a wonderful job of allowing genre freedom while still cultivating a solid brand that doesn’t confuse readers.

I’ve been writing for publication since 2020, and I published my first book, The Politics of Christmas, in 2022. Little did I know what that small step in obedience would lead to! In 2024, my debut novel was optioned for film adaptation, which completely blew me away. We are currently securing the director for the project! Outside of that life-changing book, I’ve published eight other novels and have one completed series.

I’m also a 9th-grade high school English teacher and an editor, both of which I enjoy immensely. I live in South Mississippi, though I recently spent three years in Alaska, which was a dream come true. I enjoy reading (obvs), hiking, camping, watching K-dramas, learning new languages (currently polite in Spanish and Italian, and a newbie in Korean and Japanese), and baking.
