How Christian does a book have to be to publish in the Christian genre?

I’m not being a wise guy, I’m genuinely curious. I write historical mysteries set in 1630’s France. Given the time period, my protagonist is a Catholic. There are Christian themes, but it’s not explicitly a Christian book. I wouldn’t want to misrepresent the books as being in the Christian genre if they don’t qualify. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
