How did you garner speaking engagements?

Speaking is something that I’m brainstorming I’m pursuing more.

As a fiction author I have a few non-fiction topics that’s relate to my fiction works and would like to get to speak more.

So far I’ve tried reaching out to libraries. I’ve gotten a few gigs that way but the time investment to get them feels like a poor ROI.

What kinds of groups are you pitching? Any fiction authors that are speaking?
