How do you get pass burnout?
I’m an experienced writer with over 25 books (most traditionally published.) After my last book was turned in, I struggled to write. My parent’s health was failing, we lost a grandchild and I dealt with complications from eye surgery that made it hard to focus. My husband and I agreed I needed some time off.
Now, two years later, I’m ready to start writing again. But as I dig into my files, I don’t know where to start. I’m over the whole ‘traditional publishing’ route—I just want to take my time and write something that brings me (and hopefully, my readers joy.) I have two books I’d almost finished before my break and one that’s been swimming around my brain for the last year! Which direction would you take? And how do I keep my PTSD from writing on deadline from rearing it’s ugly head?
