Ingram Request to Transfer Title

Has anyone run into the issue with having to transfer a title when uploading a new book? I own the ISBN and published on KDP first, and when I go to add the book to Ingram, they want me to transfer the title. I’m not sure what that means exactly. They said it will still be available on Amazon, and also be available for wide distribution on Ingram.

I feel some concern about where the books will be printed if the title is transferred to Ingram. I’ve heard and experienced poor print quality with Ingram. But how else can I get the books on both platforms?

I would appreciate any comments on this.
