Interesting interaction with an Amazon Bot

I’m in the middle of a project for my day job and started using the Alexa bot to ask the AI about different aspects of the products we are purchasing for the project. I was impressed with how it could direct me to what I was looking for.

So I was on my book page, visiting my newly released audiobook, and saw a suggested question “what other books are like this.” I thought it would be a perfect place to find comps for my Amazon ads.

What a fascinating experience. Initially, it was giving me back simply Christmas romance novels. I reminded/informed the bot that my book is not a romance, so I needed the story to be more women’s fiction about family and siblings, heartfelt, thought-provoking etc.

And what do you know? It gave me a set of comps with summaries that showed me what other books my book was most like! It works much better than the “incognito also boughts” to do it this way because you can narrow down your search by qualifiers.

Hope this helps!
