Introductions

Howdy folks,

I’ve been lurking on these boards for a while but haven’t gotten around to an introduction post so here it goes.

I’m Michael J. Lalonde, retired veteran of the Canadian Army, having served for 23 years as a military intelligence officer. After being medically discharged from the army, I’ve been enhancing my education, completing two Masters degrees; one in history, the other international affairs. I’m currently in my third year of law school.

I write military, political and espionage thrillers with a twist. I tell these stories through a Canadian context and lens, and feature Canadian protagonists and military / national security elements.

My debut novel, The Quiet War: Canadian Front, released in December 2025 has hit #1 Best Seller in multiple Amazon categories and continues to do well.

I would love to connect with authors doing some form of military thrillers, or something adjacent.

Cheers,

mike
