ISO Men's Thriller or Spy adult fiction

I want to get my husband a novel for Christmas, and I'd like to help him discover a new author. In the past, he used to read Alex Rider spy books, and Randy Alcorn books. I'm looking for something exciting and intense, clean or Christian, and realistic (No fantastical or sci-fi elements please, he can't suspend the disbelief.)
