Jetpack Bait and Switch?

Does anyone else use Jetpack on their WP site?

After years without problems, they’ve now decided I’m not eligible for a free plug-in and must pay.

This came out of nowhere and now they’re holding my daily stats hostage.

What do you use to keep track of daily stats? Have you had this issue with Jetpack? Is there another alternative?

Thanks for any insight.
